Lauren Gwinn Biography

Lauren is the Resident Experience Director for The Village at Orchard Ridge-A National Lutheran Community located in Winchester. Previously she was the Administrator and Outreach Liaison for myPotential at Home-A National Lutheran program since July of 2018. In her current role within Orchard Ridge Lauren serves the independent living residents in programming/activities, social services and case management, volunteer opportunities, and general support.

Lauren is an emerging young professional both in the healthcare field and within the Winchester community with 10 years’ experience working with older adults. Her passion for this generation has stemmed from the care and support she has provided for her maternal grandparents.
In 2012 she received her master’s degree in healthcare administration from Elmira College with the goal of becoming an Executive Director for a life plan community. To date Lauren has served in many different capacities within the older adult healthcare field, beginning with skilled nursing and long term care activities coordination, skilled nursing and long term care admissions and marketing, home health intake coordination, and home care client support and care coordination.

Hailing from upstate New York, Lauren has made Winchester VA her home since 2014. When not busy supporting her team at Orchard Ridge she can be found volunteering in the Winchester community through several boards, groups, and non-profit organizations serving older adults including Shenandoah Fellowship Foundation.
During her time as a trustee she has been instrumental in updating the ByLaws, assisting the group in marketing ideas, and served as treasurer which included creating our financial policies and procedures to remain compliant with our 501c3 non-profit status. Currently she is an active member of the Winchester House II committee and serving as the second vice president for another 3 year term.
