Shenandoah Fellowship Foundation
The mission of the Shenandoah Fellowship Foundation is to provide housing and related facilities and services for elderly families and individuals. The foundation is comprised of 21 religious congregations in Winchester and Frederick County area. SFF owns Winchester House a 7-story 80-unit apartment building for low income elderly.
The Shenandoah Fellowship maintains control of the apartment, selects tenants per HUD Section 8 criteria, and is sole owner of the building. Tenant selection is in accordance with provisions of Fair Housing Law without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin or genetic information. Only two full time paid staff members are on site which are our Property Manager and our Maintenance Manager. We employ part-time administrative assistants, maintenance assistance, a service coordinator, and evening attendants are available to assist residents every evening.
The Foundation has begun the process of developing Winchester House II and has closed on the purchase of a site for that work. We are in the process of choosing an architect and will be seeking a Conditional Use Permit for the project in the coming months. The Foundation looks forward to working with community partners to facilitate this work, continuing a tradition of Winchester caring for all of its seniors.
