Larry Weiss Biography

Larry Weiss came to Winchester in 2016 when he joined Centennial Broadcasting as General Manager of their four radio stations serving the Winchester area. He left this position in 2019, fully intending to retire, but instead, he began a new career in nonprofit management as he was named Executive Director of the Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley in July, 2019.

Currently, Larry is Executive Director of the Winchester Education Foundation, a position he began in September 2022.

Larry had a 42-year career in the radio industry, managing radio stations in Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, FL., Youngstown-Canton, OH, Oklahoma City, OK and Eastern North Carolina. He has been recognized by the Radio Advertising Bureau as a Certified Radio Marketing Consultant and Certified
Digital Marketing Consultant. In 2011 Weiss was identified by Radio Ink magazine as a “Top Manager in Radio.”
Weiss is a resident of Frederick County and is an active member of the Winchester Rotary club in addition to being a lay leader and board member of Beth El Congregation in Winchester.
